We were born inside a cold room.
Jambo started with a simple question from a supermarket manager: why are we still writing temperatures on paper? We went to the store, measured, got it wrong, and came back with a cheaper sensor and a better screen.

The short story
We spent our first months shadowing operator rounds in stores across Recife. We timed how long it took to measure each freezer, counted how often doors were left ajar and watched up close the domino effect of a compressor stopping at three in the morning.
What became clear is that the problem wasn't a lack of technology — it was its price. Imported solutions cost more than the product they were protecting. So we designed from scratch: ultra low-cost proprietary sensors, and a platform any employee can use on day one.
Today we are a team of hardware, data and product engineers working on the same principle: monitoring the cold has to cost less than losing it.
Born at the university
Jambo comes out of the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), and it still thinks like a lab.
Roots at UFPE
The founders met and trained at the Federal University of Pernambuco, and the company keeps that tie to research alive.
Masters and PhDs
Our members hold master's and doctoral degrees, with deep experience on both sides: shipping products in industry and publishing in academia.
World-class results
World robotics champions, and researchers with papers accepted at the world's top software engineering conferences.
What we believe
Genuinely affordable
Cost per asset is a design decision, not a sales discount. If it doesn't fit the store's budget, it doesn't work.
Simple on day one
If an employee needs long training, the product is wrong. The screen has to explain itself.
Data with proof
Continuous, tamper-evident and auditable logging. Without that, monitoring is just an opinion.
Built in the field
Every feature starts with a site visit. None of us designs a cold room sensor from a desk.
